President’s Message For July 2008

WELCOME ALICE TOMLINSON OUR NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Most of you are aware that we have hired Merit Management Company to assist the Board in thedaily operations of our Association. This has been a very stressful but productive time for all of our employees, the Board and Merit.

Our new General Manager is, Alice Tomlinson, and she will be coming aboard on June 1st.

We are happy to announce that the majority of our employees will now be working for Merit Management,so you will still see their familiar faces here on our campus.

We are sorry to say that we are losing two very important men, Felix Padilla and Lou Ojeda.  Felix has been here for over 16 years and Lou for 2 1/2 years. Both have decided to not sign on with Merit. Lou

recommended Leah Bronson to take his place as our new Supervisor in Maintenance. We wish only the best for the future of these two men and to the few employees that will not be employed by Merit.

Please give this transition time to take affect so all members feel secure with Merit's knowledge on Active Adult Communities. They will give us what we need to keep our Association running smoothly. The majority of the Board believes that the SCCA needs professional management and not volunteers that came here to retire. We will need your cooperation to make this succeed. Please come to our meetings and let us know how we are doing.

Tom Thurman, President
