comments: I love living here (have been
here a little over a year.  I have little to complain about.
the owners of my condo on Augusta Dr. are wonderful
as are my neighbors.I would wonder why there are
people living alone in the core (not as caretakers)that
I know for a fact to be under the age of 55.  Is this not
a rule that is to be enforced?Secondly, there is a family
on our street who constantly has their grandchildren
visiting; I realize this is to be expected but
these particular children ride bikes and run
up and down the street
unsupervised and, quite frankly,
are really little brats.
  I love chidren and animals;
however, these particular
kids are "brats" and probably could use
some direction & discipline.  Shouldn't they
stay in their own yard
(front or back)?
Perhaps our security patrol could be a little more
observant & write these individuals a warning about
obeying the rules and corraling their visiting children.
I truly am not a complainer nor a grumpy old lady.
Just voicing my observations.

comments: I congratulate the association board taking this opportunity for members to
comment on the association.
The principal of going right to the members and asking for their input seems to me a very
positive approach in keeping the scca respected in the community.
Personally I am happy with the improvements in the buildings .
I find the officer at the desk very helpful and appreciate her help
The Illinois Club wants to keep our members interested and well informed.
The web site is well done and helpful.
My only problem here is at election time; we as a couple are only allowed one vote.
This is always a sore spot in my home.  I have heard the explanations of why this is
enforced but we do pay for two members and I think my husband and I are entitled to each
vote .
THANKS TO WEBMASTER FOR HIS HARD WORK KEEPING UP WITH THE MANY FACETS OF THE  Sun CIty CIvic Association and community news.

comments: Yes, there is an announcement in the Focus about the Swimming Show that will be here in Oct.  The swim club has invited the public to their shows for years. You should go to the office or ask any Board member what is going on when you see something that upsets you. That way ugly rumors don't get started.

I see in the FOCUS newsletter that our Facilities are now OPEN to The General PUBLIC, When did we Vote on this!   If this is so please let the members know when this Rule was changed.

Wow!!
What a nice website--I was trying to log on the old one to check and see if it had changed any, and I couldn't log on--so I tried .com and your rendition came up.
Very nicely done with colors and placement of links.
I have made many simple websites for myself to use while I am on the road---(link at the bottom of this message)--, and never understood why others can't make just good informative sites, instead of flashy unreadable ones ---- sometimes without even the right information. You have made a good one here.  Keep it up.
Thanks, us old people need to have readable sites.

comments: I would love to see a water
aerobics class started in the evening for
those of us who still have to work.
I am sure that I am not the only person
who is unable to attend the morning
classes.  I e-mailed the General Manager
about this a couple
weeks ago and did not get any response.
Who would this go to that could make it
 happen?

comments: Our transition from the SCCA Board running our association
to Merit Property Management Company taking
over has been a little bumpy due to unforseen
events happening, but things are really looking
up now for our future.  Alice, our new manager,
is catching on to our ups and downs and with
the help from her office staff and Scott we are running pretty smoothly.  Of course we can't
please everyone all of the time but I feel that
they sure are trying. It is great to see Esther
at the front destk welcoming everyone in.
She is such a big benefit to Merit and Bonnie
is doing a great job assisting in running the
office and working with Alice to get
things done.  Gillian is really busy now trying
to check up on all of our complaints and still assisting in putting out the Core Courier too.
Great job  Gill. Leah has reallY stepped up to the plate in maintenance after Lou left. She is performing miracles on getting things
accomplished and keeping everyone
updated on things to be done.  The SCCA is
so lucky to have all of these fine people
still here and Merit is lucky to have got
them to hire on.I hope we all will be a little understanding of the stress that all of the
above named people are going through at
this time and we will try to help instead of
critize them or complain to much.  Let's give them a chance.
THANKS STAFF FOR JUST BEING YOU.

Dear Joan,
At this time I have no idea when we will have to change
our address to Menifee, The Postal service will let us know
 when this will take place.

Dear Joyce,
Thank you for your e-mail, At this time I can't tell you
what city hood will mean for our 55 plus status or what it
will mean for the Core as hole, At this time I don't see much
will change, We will just have to wait and see what the future brings

comments: I don't feel that the board is addressing the needs of
the community as a whole.  They are allowing a few or their
significant others to rule them.
Although you cannot please everyone the majority should always
be the main consideration.  Rules should be adopted that are best
for each and everyone in this community even if only a few are
using the services.  We all pay the same fees.  Do not allow a club
or spouse to make the decision that will only benefit them.
Why should I pay the same fee if I am limited in my hours for the
service just because I do not belong to a club. Lets have the clubs
rent the facility from us and then we can lower the fees for those
that are not a club person.

Good Morning, No, but when they do, the pool
monitor has to measure and if not
tall enough the monitor has to take the heat
and the grandparents are not happy
even though they should have checked before
bringing them. Maybe there should
be a measurement on the out side of the entry
gates so they do not even have to
come in that way the children will not feel so bad.
Thanks for coming back so soon.

comments: Dear Don
A response is in order, I love the web site entry page.
What I miss is the ability
to see the comments written here by other members
so as to see the differences
of opinions and difference in ideas between us.
I would like to see an explanation
by the president of the role of the new manager
and how it will effect the
organizational structure we have come to know.
Just a wuicvkie, look at the
above statement " comments.......board other..."
it appears a word was left
out---"and" other readers-- A minor point.
You are doing a great job so far and I appreciate it.
Regards
Chuck Ingram

Get involved in your association.
Haven't you heard: "Use it or lose it".
So many members complain about things, but, so few
offer solutions or remedies to their problem.
I am very grateful to those few that do take the initiative and
'step up' for our community. Thank you.
Here's another old saying in regards to volunteers: "About 10%
of the people do 90% of the work".
SCCA has a big problem with this sickness called
 APATHY.
Many members do not even return the prepaid ballot
at the elections.
You have a chance to change Sun City.  Please get
nvolved. Vote.
Attend Board Meetings, use the Opinion Survey
 on the website,
write to your association. Help make Sun City a better
place to live.

I am in favor of a forum for the members.  I would like to see a solicitation for a survey regarding all aspects of our association, for instance how often do you use the facilities, what things do you like best about the association, your ideas about how to improve the association, and a host of other inquiries.  ooppss  I see to the left a link to "Members Comments on Serveys" but I will send this just the same.   Thanks
